Y explains Enterprise

In less than a minute, see how to manage multiple entities through one shared view and tailored execution paths.

Scope

What is an entity?

An entity is a qualified operational unit: responsibilities, processes, resources and indicators distinct enough to be read and managed separately.

  • A company, subsidiary, business unit, division, site or autonomous activity can be an entity.
  • A country, site or department is not automatically an entity: it depends on its real autonomy.
  • Each entity’s scope is validated with you before launch.

In this fictional example, governance is low or partial everywhere: a shared foundation to examine.

Two separate readings, with no combined score.

Compare with rigour

What makes two entities comparable.

Scope
The same activities, functions and systems are covered in each entity.
Date
Readings are dated; any timing gap is flagged before comparison.
Method
The same questions and models, including ECTA for capabilities.
Evidence
Each finding states what supports it: answers, documents, observations.
Reuse
A local practice is suggested elsewhere only after its context is examined; a common need can be shared; a result stays with its entity until sharing is decided.

The ECTA profiles shown on this page are illustrative; they are neither a group average nor a client result.

Per entity

A complete AI Blueprint per entity.

Each entity receives a complete local AI Blueprint: Business & Organisation and Data & Tech diagnostics, opportunity and project discovery, economics and estimated ROI where supported by evidence, roadmap and readout. Local Blueprints can be used on their own, without consolidation.

  • Shared and local contributions, with controlled reuse of common material.
  • Targeted collection: each role contributes what it knows, with no uniform questionnaire.

Group consolidation is optional.

As an option, a cross-entity reading surfaces local opportunities, replicable projects, shareable foundations, dependencies and trade-offs. It is neither an average of scores nor automatic access to entities’ private answers.

2 · Align

Not everything should be shared.

Alignment is not uniformity. Some differences are necessary; other efforts can be shared or adapted across entities.

Local

A need specific to one reality; decisions stay close to the ground.

Replicate

A promising local practice to assess elsewhere for applicability, readiness, data, adaptation and economics.

Shared

A need across several entities, to address in a coordinated way.

Foundation

A capability, dataset, integration or governance layer that can support multiple initiatives.

Group

A strategic initiative that calls for a group-level decision.

3 · Enterprise consolidation · optional

A group view. Decisions for each reality.

As an option, Enterprise consolidation complements the local Blueprints with a cross-entity view of opportunities, foundations, dependencies and synergies to examine together.

AI Blueprint Enterprise

With consolidation, what your group receives

Outputs of the optional consolidation: a cross-entity perspective to inform leadership decisions, followed by a separate choice of projects to activate.

Readiness profiles by entity and a map of gaps, subject to available contributions and evidence.

02

Portfolio & conditions

Local, replicable or shared options; dependencies, foundations, economic assumptions and synergies to examine.

03

Decisions & roadmap

Decision material and a coordinated direction for leadership to review before activation.

Possible formats depend on the engagement: summary, presentation and an online group view if available. Scope and deliverables are specified in the proposal.

4 · Decide

Make decisions at the right level.

Group leadership can guide cross-entity choices while leaving context-specific decisions with each entity. Approving an initiative does not automatically activate it.

A decision is not activation.

Potential value, entities involved, business and data readiness, investment, dependencies and risks inform decisions where evidence exists. Leadership approves, holds or rejects; it then separately chooses which approved projects to activate.

5 · Progress

One team. Different routes. A shared direction.

After separately choosing which projects to activate, Cockpit & Y connect ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks and observed outcomes. Each entity keeps its route; the group view helps coordinate them.

From local progress to group coordination.

Group initiatives, shared work, local projects and common foundations remain visible with ownership and dependencies. Y helps prepare cross-entity questions; leaders retain the decisions.
